Who We Are
Former operators. Independent advisors. The people you call when the operation needs to actually change. Blue Pen Collective is a consulting firm built by people who've done the work. We've run contact centers, designed compensation programs, built digital growth engines, and managed the vendor relationships that keep complex organizations running. We didn't start as consultants. We started as operators who got tired of watching good companies get bad advice.

Our Story
We Built This Firm Because We Knew What Was Missing
We spent years inside large organizations managing the functions we now consult on. Contact center operations. Workforce strategy. Compensation design. Technology selection. Digital marketing. We sat in the meetings where decisions got made, managed the teams that executed them, and lived with the consequences when outside consultants got it wrong.
What we saw again and again was a gap between the advice companies were getting and the reality of running the operation. Strategy decks that couldn't survive contact with the frontline. Vendor recommendations driven by referral fees. Technology roadmaps built around features nobody would use. Compensation programs that HR couldn't administer and managers couldn't explain.
Blue Pen Collective exists to close that gap. We bring the operator's perspective to every engagement. Our recommendations are built to work in the real world, not just in a presentation. And we stay through execution because we know that's where most consulting relationships fall apart.
What We Believe
The Principles Behind the Work
Advice should be independent
We don't take referral fees from vendors. We don't resell software. We don't have channel partnerships that influence our recommendations. The only incentive behind every recommendation is what's right for your business.
Consulting should produce outcomes, not deliverables
A strategy deck that sits in a shared drive didn't change anything. We measure our work by what actually happens after we deliver it. Costs that go down. Performance that goes up. Programs that get implemented and stick.
Complexity is usually the problem, not the solution
The best operations, compensation programs, and marketing strategies are the ones that are simple enough to execute consistently. We simplify before we add. If a recommendation requires a 40-page playbook to implement, we haven't done our job.
The people doing the work know the most
Your frontline managers, agents, sales reps, and HR teams see what's broken every day. We listen to them first. The best recommendations come from combining operator insight with strategic perspective, not from ignoring one in favor of the other.
Execution is where trust is earned
Anyone can write a recommendation. We stay through the hard part. The rollout. The change management. The first cycle of results. That's where the real work happens and where most consultants disappear.
What We Do
Three Practice Areas. One Approach.
We consult across three disciplines. Each one is led by people who've operated in that space, not just studied it.
Customer & Support Operations
Contact center operations, technology, CX strategy, and BPO consulting. We help companies run better support operations, select the right technology, improve customer experience, and manage outsourcing partners.
Compensation & Performance Strategy
Sales compensation, executive pay, benchmarking, pay structure design, HR policy, and performance management. We help companies build compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate the right people.
Digital Growth Infrastructure
Web design and development, SEO, and digital marketing. We help companies build the digital presence, organic visibility, and demand generation engine that produces pipeline consistently.
How We Work
What Every Engagement Looks Like
Every client and every problem is different, but our approach is consistent.
We start by listening
Before we advise, we understand. Your business, your constraints, your goals, and the context that shaped how things work today. We don't walk in with a pre-built framework. We walk in with questions.
We diagnose before we prescribe
The assessment phase is where we earn our fee. We look at data, processes, people, and systems. We talk to the teams who do the work. We find the root cause, not just the symptoms.
We recommend what's implementable
Every recommendation is tied to a business outcome, assigned an owner, and built to be executed by your team. We don't deliver shelf-ware.
We stay until it works
We don't disappear after the strategy presentation. We're with you through implementation, the first results, and the early adjustments. The engagement isn't done until the work is producing.
Our Team
The People Behind the Work
Our consultants have led contact center operations, designed compensation programs for Fortune 500 companies, built digital marketing engines, and managed vendor relationships across industries.
